Frankenstien Part II day 3

Woke up. Nurse Came. Took a perc. Back to bed!
Woke up again in time to eat for three hours before WUDI.
Sweet!
First rec league game of the season.
Showed up, lots of Forest players there. Huddled up, almost done with introductions when the lightning struck. Everyone ran to their cars, waited it out, cool time to play.
Something like three guys and one girl left after the rain started but we still had enough to play, although the women had to play savage. Started with a huck from Paul to Rich.
Took half 8 - 2, played through half, scored a few more. Blue found some offensive momentum and scored a few and then traded to make it 11 - 7 or something. I left my sketchbook in the car after the rain hit and was thus a very poor score keeper. Ugh percoset. Anyway, we won 15 - 7 or 15 - 8. Something like that. Straight brutal.

Thoughts on the team: we are deep, and we are rigged. Our weakest link would have been middle of the pack on blue.
Rich and Paul established themselves as the "stud" players on the team, and we will no doubt rattle off a lot of stupid huck points through the Paul and Rich show. Sweet. We have a lot of instant chemistry due Rich and Paul, Magic Roll/Gunx, five or so Seven Car Pileup players...that will make it much easier to mesh than a random team with no mutual experience. Our offense was clogged and we gave away the disc and hucked too much...yeah I just said that. Defense was intense! Sweet. Rachel and the Nightwatchmen both played like ballers despite being savage.

Captaining is hard enough when you can't play...being on drugs does not help!
Even so, I think I did a decent job, not much to do as a rec captain except be a fun person and help where possible. Since there are a few players on the team who have as much or more experience, instead of being the "do this" captain I am going to aim for being the "loud voice/heart of the team" kind of captain. Cool.

Don't think it is a coincidence I am the captain of forest. I've been in a forest for a while.
Seeya next time.

PS we won big, cool, no complacency next week!
